I’m doing something a bit different today—my posts are often split in half: the first half for public consumption, the second private for my inner den bears alone. But today, I’m sharing all of it—because I suspect there are others out there feeling the same way on this particular day…
Today’s card showed up with a soft smile and a rebel heart.
The Four of Wands isn’t here for glitter bombs, fireworks, and flags.
It’s here to hold space for something deeper—
The kind of celebration that blooms in the shadow of rage.
Because let’s be honest, darling cubs:
Not every holiday is worth the fireworks.
Not every “victory” is ours to cheer.
But there is something worth honoring today.
And that something… is you.
🪶 Part 1: For the Writers
The Four of Wands is a card of recognition, stability, and milestone magic—but in a world cracking under the weight of cruelty, it hits a little different.
This is the card that reminds you:
You are allowed to celebrate your progress—even while grieving the world.
You are called to mark the moment—especially when the noise tries to drown you out.
You are invited to build new rituals—ones that honor what you stand for, not what you're escaping from.
📚 For the creative souls building slow-burning revolutions:
This card whispers:
“The circle you’re weaving matters.”
“The readers who stay are sacred.”
“The words you write are spells—they will outlive this noise.”
🌕 Practical Magick for Today:
Purge with Purpose.
If you’re releasing email list subscribers, social followers, or business dead weight today—do it as a ritual of freedom.
Say aloud: “Thank you for being part of the path. May what remains be pure and aligned.”
🐾 Part 2: My Pull Today
Today is July 4th.
And while my country clinks glasses over freedom, I feel something different in my bones:
💔 A bill is being signed that guts health support, SNAP benefits, and our already-cracked safety nets… and for what? The point IS the cruelty, not the money. They have more of that than they will ever need. The point is to remind everyone whose boot is on our throats.
🔥 The air is thick with rage. I won’t even pretend anymore that I’m not filled with it.
🌱 And yet… this card found me.
At first, I rolled my eyes.
What the hell is there to celebrate?
But then I remembered:
The email I sent yesterday—my goodbye to a list that’s outgrown its alignment.
The replies that poured in—real humans, telling me I mattered.
The sacred vision I’ve kept hidden—building a system that lifts others, not profits from their pain—and the bigger plans I have for it, that I’ve shared with no one.
And suddenly, the Four of Wands didn’t feel naïve.
It felt necessary.
Today, I am celebrating—not a flag, not a country…
…but the circle I’m building.
The lives it will touch.
And the fact that I’m not alone in this.
Being a writer has always been a quiet act of rebellion in itself.
Being a creative soul in ANY capacity has always been a quiet act of rebellion.
And here’s what I know…
And here’s what I’m celebrating today…
There are others.
There are thousands.
Probably hundreds of thousands… or more.
Like us.
And together, we’re planting something powerful beneath the ash.
🖋️ Your Turn Den Mates
If the Four of Wands is knocking at your door today, ask yourself:
What sacred milestone deserves recognition—even in the quiet?
What part of your path are you ready to honor?
Who is still standing with you, and how can you celebrate that circle?
[Don’t forget: all the journal pages are available for the Inner Den members in the Rewilding Dispatch Download Directory]
You don’t have to feel happy to feel proud.
You don’t have to pretend the world isn’t burning to celebrate your hearth.
Sometimes, joy is a rebellion.
Sometimes, love is the loudest protest.
And sometimes, grim celebration is the most honest kind.
With a steady paw and a sacred flame,
~ Stacy
